Key Qualifications:
- Current Massachusetts teaching certification as a Teacher of the Deaf/Hard of Hearing (TOD/HH)
- Demonstrated expertise in delivering instruction and support to students with hearing impairments
- Experience collaborating with educators, families, and support staff in school settings
- Strong communication, organizational, and advocacy skills
- Comfortable with both in-person and virtual (VOCO) instruction methods
- Flexibility to work with a range of age groups and adjust caseload preferences through open discussion with the district
What You’ll Do:
- Provide direct support and instruction to students who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing on a part-time, flexible schedule (10-15 hours/week)
- Partner with the full-time district Teacher of the Deaf to ensure all students receive tailored educational services
- Develop and implement individualized strategies addressing students’ learning needs
- Offer consultation and support to classroom teachers on effective inclusion practices
- Adapt materials and teaching methods to maximize accessibility and engagement
- Participate in ongoing collaboration regarding caseload assignments and program improvements
