Teacher of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing in Boston, MA

Qualifications & Experience:
- Valid Massachusetts teaching certificate for Teacher of the Deaf/Hard of Hearing (required)
- Experience working with children or youth who are deaf or hard of hearing
- Strong communication and collaboration skills to partner effectively with staff, students, and families
- Flexibility and willingness to work with different age groups or school settings
- Ability to provide individualized instruction and adapt materials for accessibility
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct instructional services to students as assigned
- Collaborate with district staff, families, and the full-time Teacher of the Deaf/Hard of Hearing
- Maintain thorough documentation and participate in IEP meetings as needed
- Support the development of accessible classroom materials and resources
- Adjust caseload preferences in conversation with the district to ensure a rewarding fit
