Teacher of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing (TDHH) | Castle Rock, Colorado
A full-time or part-time teaching opportunity is available for a skilled professional specializing in education for students who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing. Located in Castle Rock, CO, this contract position extends from ASAP through the end of the school year, offering a focused and impactful role in a supportive educational environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement tailored instructional plans for students who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing
- Utilize specialized strategies and resources to facilitate language development, communication, and academic achievement
- Collaborate with classroom teachers, support staff, and families to address individual student needs and provide accommodations
- Monitor student progress and adjust teaching methods as needed to maximize learning outcomes
- Maintain accurate records and communicate regularly with parents and educational teams
Qualifications and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution
- Valid Teacher of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing (TDHH) license specific to Colorado
- Active certification from the Colorado Department of Education (CDE)
- Proven experience working with Deaf and Hard of Hearing students preferred
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with students, families, and colleagues
