Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Current and valid Tennessee DOE Certification
- Experience or passion for working with Deaf or Hard of Hearing students (K–12 preferred)
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to adapt instruction for diverse needs and learning styles
- Successful completion of fingerprinting and background check per district requirements
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct instruction and support for K-12 students who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing
- Work closely with classroom teachers and support staff to create accessible learning opportunities
- Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) according to student needs
- Advocate for student access and inclusion in all school environments
- Maintain accurate and timely records for compliance and reporting
