DHH Teacher | Chicago, Illinois
A full-time DHH Consultation Specialist position is available for the school year in Chicago, IL. This onsite, contract role involves providing expert support for a female student who is Deaf or Hard of Hearing through assessments and ongoing collaboration with educational staff.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct initial and re-evaluation assessments to determine the student's specific needs.
- Utilize various assistive tools and technology to improve learning and engagement.
- Collaborate with teachers and support personnel to develop and implement tailored educational strategies.
- Maintain detailed records of assessment outcomes, student progress, and collaborative efforts.
Qualifications:
- Valid Deaf / Hard of Hearing (DHH) credential required.
- Experience with diverse tools and technologies designed for supporting DHH students.
- Strong communication skills; American Sign Language (ASL) fluency preferred but not mandatory.

- Onsite position based in Chicago, Illinois.
