Deaf and Hard of Hearing Teacher - Aurora, IL
Step into a vital role supporting Deaf and Hard of Hearing (DHH) students as a DHH Consultation Specialist for the upcoming 2024-2025 school year. This full-time, onsite contract position centers on providing consultation for one female student, ensuring her educational needs are met through expert assessment and teamwork.
In this position, your focus will be on conducting both initial and re-evaluation assessments, guiding the educational approach for DHH students in collaboration with teachers and staff. Qualifications:
- Valid credential to teach Deaf/Hard of Hearing students required
- Familiarity with tools and technologies that empower DHH learners
- Fluency in ASL preferred, but not required
- Strong skills in communication and collaboration
- Experience within educational settings is strongly valued
Responsibilities:
