What You'll Bring:
- Certification as a Teacher of the Deaf/Hard of Hearing or equivalent credentials
- Experience working with DHH students in school settings (PK-12 preferred)
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, working well with multidisciplinary teams
- Comfort and adaptability traveling between educational sites across Bond, Fayette, and Montgomery counties
- Ability to develop and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)
- Dedication to fostering inclusion and advocating for student needs
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct and consultative instruction to DHH students, adapting strategies for a range of learning styles and needs
- Support classroom teachers and school staff in best practices for DHH instruction and accommodations
- Conduct regular assessments to monitor student progress, participating in IEP meetings and evaluation processes
- Serve as a resource for families, empowering them to support their child's learning journey
- Maintain organized schedules and clear documentation across multiple sites
