What you’ll bring:
- Current TN Deaf Education Endorsement
- Experience teaching or supporting Deaf/Hard of Hearing students in school settings
- An understanding of a range of communication methods and assistive technologies
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- A passion for inclusive education and advocacy for diverse learners
What you’ll do:
- Develop and implement individualized educational plans for Deaf/Hard of Hearing students
- Provide direct instruction and classroom support aligned with students’ needs
- Collaborate regularly with classroom teachers, parents, speech-language pathologists, and support staff
- Conduct assessments to monitor student progress and adjust learning strategies accordingly
- Support the school community by increasing awareness and understanding of Deaf/Hard of Hearing students’ needs
- Maintain thorough documentation and comply with district requirements
This contract position offers highly competitive compensation between $30 and $35 per hour, paid weekly.
