Key Qualifications:
- Active Tennessee Deaf Education Endorsement
- Experience or strong interest in teaching students who are deaf or hard of hearing
- Mastery of instructional strategies and accommodations for D/HH learners
- Familiarity with IEP processes and best practices in inclusive education
- Strong communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement customized lessons aligned with students’ IEPs and educational needs
- Provide direct instruction and support within classroom or resource room settings
- Consult with general education teachers and specialists to adapt curriculum and materials
- Maintain clear, ongoing communication with staff and families regarding student progress
- Participate in IEP meetings, assessments, and data documentation as required
