Qualifications & Experience:

  • State certification to teach Deaf/Hard of Hearing students or ASL (or eligibility for certification)
  • Proven experience teaching ASL at the high school or secondary level preferred
  • Comfortable adapting curriculum for diverse learning needs and communication preferences
  • Strong classroom management and cross-disciplinary collaboration skills
  • Commitment to promoting an accessible and inclusive learning environment
  • Passion for empowering students with Deaf/Hard of Hearing identities

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging ASL and core subject instruction tailored to varied student needs
  • Collaborate with classroom teachers, interpreters, and school staff to facilitate accommodations and modifications

  • Track student progress and provide detailed feedback and support to meet IEP goals
