What We're Looking For:
- State certification or licensure for teaching Deaf/Hard of Hearing students
- Previous experience working in school settings with students who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing
- Proficiency with differentiated instruction and the ability to create accessible lesson plans
- Strong communication and collaboration skills for partnering with general education teachers, caregivers, and related service providers
- Knowledge of assistive technologies and strategies for supporting diverse learners
- Familiarity with IEP development and compliance
Your Responsibilities Will Include:
- Providing direct instruction and support to students who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing across multiple schools in the district
- Consulting with teachers and staff to implement accommodations and modifications
- Participating in IEP meetings, assessments, and progress monitoring
- Guiding families through educational supports and resources
- Engaging in ongoing professional development and district initiatives related to special education
- Promoting an inclusive community that celebrates diversity in communication and learning
