Desired Qualifications:
- Hold a valid certification in Deaf/Hard of Hearing education
- Experience in K-12 school settings supporting students who are deaf or hard of hearing
- Strong knowledge of differentiated instructional strategies and assistive technology
- Ability to provide direct and consultative services to a diverse student population
- Effective communication skills with students, families, and colleagues
- Flexibility and organization to travel between schools within the district
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver tailored instruction and interventions to students with hearing impairments in both individual and group settings
- Collaborate with general education teachers and staff to adapt curriculum and classroom environments
- Participate in the development and implementation of Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Advise and educate colleagues on best practices for serving deaf and hard of hearing learners
- Maintain accurate documentation of progress and service delivery
- Engage families to support student achievement and advocate for their needs
