What You'll Need:
- Active Tennessee TDHH (Teacher of the Deaf/Hard of Hearing) license
- Experience teaching Deaf/Hard of Hearing students (all experience levels welcomed)
- Comfort and proficiency using virtual instruction platforms (VOCO)
- Strong communication, collaboration, and organization skills
- Commitment to supporting diverse learners and working with families and school teams
Your Responsibilities:
- Deliver instruction and educational services to Deaf/Hard of Hearing students, grades K-12, remotely
- Develop and implement IEPs, modify curriculum, and collaborate with classroom staff
- Monitor student progress, maintain thorough documentation, and participate in virtual IEP meetings
- Serve as a resource to general education teachers and staff, offering strategies for inclusion
- Foster student engagement and supportive rapport, even in a virtual environment
Role Highlights:
- Contract, full-time virtual schedule: 7.5 hrs/day, 5 days/week, following the academic year calendar
