This opportunity is for a full-time Teacher of the Deaf/Hard of Hearing to serve students within a school district in the Nashville area (northern suburb), Tennessee. The assignment runs from ASAP through May 20, 2026, with a 37.5-hour workweek, Monday through Friday.
Responsibilities:
- Provide specialized instruction and support to students who are deaf or hard of hearing across grades K-12.
- Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) according to students’ needs.
- Collaborate with general education staff, parents, and related service providers to ensure comprehensive educational support.
- Monitor student progress and adjust strategies to optimize learning outcomes.
- Maintain accurate documentation and comply with district policies regarding student services.
Qualifications:
- Active Tennessee Department of Education (DOE) teaching certification in Deaf/Hard of Hearing education.
- Experience with K-12 caseload, adjusting support based on individual student requirements.
- Ability to work onsite in the assigned school(s) within the Nashville area.
- Successful completion of background check and fingerprinting as required by the school district.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills to engage with students, families, and school personnel.
Location: Pleasant View, TN, within the greater Nashville suburban area.
