Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Valid certification as a Teacher of the Deaf/Hard of Hearing or eligibility for state licensure

- Strong knowledge of auditory/oral and/or bilingual-bicultural (ASL and English) instructional strategies
- Ability to develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Skilled in collaborating with parents, educators, and support staff
- Excellent communication, organization, and advocacy skills
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct and consultative special education services to students who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing
- Adapt curriculum and teaching methods to meet unique learning needs
- Assess student progress and maintain documentation required by district and state
- Support student access to general education curriculum through accommodations, modifications, and assistive technology
- Serve as a resource for colleagues and families to foster understanding and accommodation of hearing differences
- Participate in IEP meetings, multidisciplinary teams, and ongoing professional development
