Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Valid state teaching licensure in Deaf/Hard of Hearing education (or eligibility)
- Experience working directly with students who are deaf or hard of hearing
- Strong knowledge of audiological devices and assistive technology
- Proficiency in American Sign Language (ASL) or other communication modalities a plus
- Ability to work collaboratively across multidisciplinary teams
- Dedication to promoting an equitable educational experience
Core Responsibilities:
- Deliver specialized instruction to students with hearing impairments, adjusting curriculum as needed
- Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Serve as a resource for school staff, students, and families, supporting language and auditory skill development
- Monitor student progress and adjust strategies to optimize learning outcomes
- Facilitate communication and integration within general education settings
- Maintain accurate records and collaborate with related service providers
