Starting July 27th, 2026 and continuing through May 25th, 2027, you’ll work approximately 20 hours per week alongside dedicated colleagues equally passionate about inclusive education.
What you bring:
- Valid Georgia Teaching Certificate in Special Education – Deaf Education (P–12)
or Special Education General Curriculum (P–12) with a Deaf/Hard of Hearing endorsement - Experience teaching or supporting students who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing
- Strong understanding of different communication methods, tools, and technologies
- Ability to tailor instruction to individual student needs
- Excellent collaboration and communication skills for working across school sites
- Commitment to fostering an inclusive and supportive classroom environment
What you will do:
- Provide direct instruction to students with hearing impairments, either one-on-one or in small group settings
- Develop, implement, and adapt IEPs in collaboration with families and multidisciplinary teams
- Consult with classroom teachers and staff to ensure accessible learning environments across multiple locations
- Support students’ language development and access to the general curriculum
- Utilize a variety of communication approaches, technologies, and resources to facilitate engagement
- Maintain timely and accurate progress documentation and participate in IEP meetings
- Advocate for and implement accommodation strategies to support student success
