Teacher of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing (TDHH) | Horse Cave, Kentucky
Exciting opportunity for a skilled Teacher of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing (DHH) interested in meaningful, part-time work supporting students near Horse Cave, KY for the 2026-2027 school year. In this contract-based position, you will work one day per week serving a small caseload of three students: two in high school and one in elementary school. You’ll play a critical role ensuring these learners’ instructional and communication needs are met, all within a flexible school environment.
What We’re Looking For:
- State-specific Teacher of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing (DHH) certification or licensure
- Experience supporting both elementary and high school students is valued
- Strong understanding of individualized education programs (IEPs) and legal compliance
- Ability to adapt instructional materials and techniques to diverse communication needs
- Excellent collaboration skills for working with teachers, support staff, and families
- Commitment to maintaining accurate records and progress documentation
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct DHH instructional services or consultative support as determined by student IEPs
- Ensure access to curriculum through accommodations tailored to auditory, visual, and language needs
- Work closely with general education teachers and other specialists in a team-based approach
- Develop and modify educational materials to support student success
- Maintain thorough records of services and student progress
