Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree specifically in Education for Teaching Deaf Students
- Valid Texas teaching certification in Deaf and Hard of Hearing instruction
- Prior work with school-age children is preferred and valued
- Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with colleagues and families
Core Responsibilities:
- Deliver individualized direct instruction and itinerant support for Deaf/Hard of Hearing students both in person and virtually
- Develop, implement, and monitor progress on individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Liaise with classroom teachers, administrators, and parents to ensure accommodations and access are provided
- Apply evidence-based strategies, fostering student growth in both academic and social settings
- Maintain organized records of student progress and communication
