Desired Skills and Qualifications:
- Current Alaska licensure as a Teacher of the Deaf/Hard of Hearing, or proof of pending licensure and Type C certification required (copies or license numbers must be submitted).
- Experience working with students who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing across elementary, middle, and high school environments.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills for partnering with general education teachers and staff.
- Passion for creating inclusive, student-centered learning experiences.
- Ability to travel onsite; travel reimbursement is available.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver individualized instruction and support to students with hearing loss, adapting curriculum as needed.
- Assess student progress, document growth, and participate in IEP meetings.
- Collaborate with colleagues, families, and the extended school team.
