Teacher of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing - Van Buren, AR

Key Qualifications:
- Certified as a Teacher of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing
- Experience working with K-12 students
- Proficient in developing and implementing IEPs for Deaf/Hard of Hearing students
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to foster an inclusive and encouraging learning environment
Primary Responsibilities:
- Provide direct, individualized instruction for Deaf and Hard of Hearing students
- Collaborate with educational staff and families to develop, monitor, and update IEP goals
- Evaluate student progress and adapt teaching strategies to meet unique learning needs
- Engage in ongoing communication with teachers, therapists, and support personnel
- Advocate for students’ access and accommodations within the school setting
Position Details:
- Part-time schedule: 1–1.5 hours per day, Tuesday through Friday
- Academic year commitment: August 8th through May 13th
- Onsite at the school, working directly with students
