Key Qualifications:

  • Certified as a Deaf and Hard of Hearing (DHH) Educator
  • Experience developing and following Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
  • Familiarity with K-12 student developmental stages
  • Strong communication and collaboration abilities, especially in 1:1 settings
  • Patience, empathy, and a student-centered approach

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Deliver targeted, 1:1 instruction to Deaf and Hard of Hearing students, following each student's IEP
  • Maintain close communication with families, staff, and related service providers to foster student progress
  • Accurately document and track student growth, session notes, and adaptations to learning materials
  • Contribute to IEP meetings as needed, sharing insight and advocating for appropriate accommodations
  • Adapt instructional strategies and classroom resources to meet individual learning needs
