Key Qualifications:
- Certified as a Deaf and Hard of Hearing (DHH) Educator
- Experience developing and following Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Familiarity with K-12 student developmental stages
- Strong communication and collaboration abilities, especially in 1:1 settings
- Patience, empathy, and a student-centered approach
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver targeted, 1:1 instruction to Deaf and Hard of Hearing students, following each student's IEP
- Maintain close communication with families, staff, and related service providers to foster student progress
- Accurately document and track student growth, session notes, and adaptations to learning materials
- Contribute to IEP meetings as needed, sharing insight and advocating for appropriate accommodations
- Adapt instructional strategies and classroom resources to meet individual learning needs
