What You'll Need to Succeed:
- Hold an active Tennessee Department of Education (DOE) certification for Deaf/Hard of Hearing instruction
- Experience working with students ranging from Pre-K through high school (K-12)
- Understanding of individualized education plans (IEPs) and ability to provide both direct and consultative services
- Ability to adapt communication styles and instructional strategies for a range of hearing abilities and ages
- Professionalism in collaborating with teachers, support staff, and families
- Willingness to complete Tennessee fingerprinting and district credentialing requirements
What You'll Be Doing:
- Support a varied student caseload across DHH program hubs, including newly established middle school programs
- Deliver engaging, student-centered instruction in line with each learner’s IEP and unique needs
- Serve as a resource and partner to educators, staff, and families by offering consultations and support
- Contribute to a positive school culture, participating in meetings and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams
- Stay current on best practices in deaf education and integrate innovative approaches
