Key Qualifications:
- Valid Massachusetts Teaching Certificate as a Teacher of the Deaf/Hard of Hearing
- Demonstrated experience with Deaf/Hard of Hearing students in educational settings
- Strong communication and collaboration skills with students, staff, and families
- Ability to individualize instruction and support based on student needs
- Passion for advocacy and educational access for Deaf/Hard of Hearing learners
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct instruction and related services to Deaf/Hard of Hearing students across assigned schools
- Collaborate with district staff to design and implement effective Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Employ evidence-based strategies and accommodations to foster student success
- Provide consultative support and resources for classroom teachers and staff
- Maintain thorough and timely documentation in compliance with district and state guidelines
- Participate in team meetings to support educational planning and progress-monitoring
- Serve as an essential resource for families, offering guidance and insights to enhance student learning
