Qualifications:
- State of Texas Speech Language Pathologist license required
- Experience working in schools, particularly with elementary-aged students, is preferred
- Knowledgeable about Deaf and Hard of Hearing populations
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills with students, families, and educational staff
- Strong organizational and documentation abilities
- Commitment to fostering inclusive learning environments
Responsibilities:
- Assess, diagnose, and provide therapy to elementary students, focusing on the unique needs of Deaf or Hard of Hearing learners
- Create and implement individualized treatment plans in collaboration with educators and families
- Maintain accurate records of student progress and communicate updates regularly to all stakeholders
- Serve as an advocate for students, helping to facilitate successful participation in the classroom
- Participate in meetings, trainings, and school initiatives as required
- Collaborate with teachers and support staff to offer strategies and resources
