Deaf and Hard of Hearing Teacher - Derry, New Hampshire
A part-time opportunity is available for a skilled Teacher of the Deaf/Hard of Hearing to support a K-12 caseload in a school setting. This role requires servicing students across two locations between Brookline and Hollis, New Hampshire, with onsite presence necessary. The contract begins immediately and continues through June 17, 2026, offering 10-12 hours of work per month.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide specialized instructional services and support to students who are deaf or hard of hearing.
- Collaborate with school staff and families to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs).
- Travel between designated school sites to deliver consistent, onsite expertise.
- Utilize assessments and observations to monitor student progress and adjust instructional strategies accordingly.
- Maintain compliance with district policies and ensure confidentiality of all student information.
- Participate in Zoom interviews as part of the hiring process.
Qualifications:
- Active licensure and certification in New Hampshire specific to Deaf/Hard of Hearing education.
- Proven school-based experience working with students who are deaf or hard of hearing.
- Ability and willingness to serve a diverse K-12 caseload.
- Completion of district fingerprinting requirements.
- Strong communication skills and a collaborative attitude.
Location: This position requires onsite work at either Hollis, NH or Brookline, NH, with exact placement to be determined.
