Full-time contract opportunities are available for dedicated educators passionate about fostering accessibility and academic growth in an inclusive educational environment. Both local applicants and travel professionals who meet the state licensing requirements are welcome.

Key Qualifications:

  • Active Deaf and Hard of Hearing (DHH) teaching certification for the applicable state
  • Experience working with children or adolescents with hearing differences, ideally in an educational or school setting
  • Strong collaboration skills to work with multidisciplinary teams, families, and other educational professionals
  • Proficiency in American Sign Language (ASL) preferred
  • Creative, adaptive approach to individualized instruction and accommodations
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct instruction and support to students with hearing impairments in accordance with individual education plans (IEPs)
  • Adapt curriculum to meet the diverse needs of learners, utilizing assistive technology, visual aids, and other resources as appropriate
  • Partner with teachers, speech/language professionals, and staff to ensure accessible learning environments
  • Regularly assess student progress, documenting outcomes and adjusting strategies when needed
  • Foster advocacy, self-awareness, and independence in students
  • Serve as a resource for families on strategies and technology to support learning at home

Those interested in travel contracts and meeting licensing eligibility will be provided with tax-free stipends for housing and meals. Renewal opportunities for the following year are available based on performance and program needs.
