Teacher of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing (DHH) - Covington, Kentucky

Qualifications and Experience:
- Valid teaching certification for Deaf/Hard of Hearing, or equivalent credentials
- Proven experience working as a Teacher or Specialist supporting Deaf/Hard of Hearing students
- Strong understanding of best practices in language development, literacy, and academic accommodations
- Ability to adapt instructional techniques based on individual IEPs
- Excellent communication skills and collaborative mindset for working with staff and families
- Commitment to fostering an inclusive, accessible, and supportive classroom environment
What You’ll Do:
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for Deaf/Hard of Hearing students
- Provide direct instruction using a variety of modalities including American Sign Language, spoken English, and assistive technology
- Support students’ academic, communication, and social-emotional growth across all grade levels
- Collaborate with general education teachers, service providers, and families to ensure cohesive learning experiences
- Monitor, assess, and document student progress, adjusting strategies as needed
- Educate and provide resources to the school community to promote awareness and inclusion of Deaf/Hard of Hearing students
