Deaf and Hard of Hearing Teacher - Wilmington, Delaware
This opportunity is for a dedicated Teacher of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing to support a K-12 school program focusing on students with hearing impairments. The position is a full-time ESY (Extended School Year) contract running from ASAP through June 16th, with the possibility to continue into summer school. Responsibilities include providing specialized instruction and support to a caseload of 53 students, ranging from pre-kindergarten through 12th grade. The role may involve travel to meet with students or attend meetings.
Qualifications and desired experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Deaf and Hard of Hearing education or a related field
- Valid standard teaching license applicable to the role
- Experience working with K-12 students who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing
- Ability to manage and support a large caseload effectively
- Familiarity with IEP development and implementation
- Open to travel and flexible in delivering services virtually when required
