DHH Teacher | Palm City, Florida

We are searching for an experienced Teacher of the Deaf/Hard of Hearing (DHH) eager to provide crucial services K-12 as a full-time itinerant educator during the 2026-2027 school year. As part of this dynamic contract assignment, you’ll work on-site, collaborating closely with multiple schools and ensuring continuity of care for students.
In this role, you’ll apply your expertise to deliver meaningful instruction and advocacy while also playing a vital part in assessment and evaluation services across the district.
Key Qualifications:
- Active Florida DOE certification (DHH)
- Experience serving students K-12 with hearing needs in a school setting
- Familiarity with Florida fingerprint requirements (DOH prints may be acceptable)
- Strong collaboration skills and the ability to work with diverse teams
- Excellent communication and technology skills, including digital record keeping
Primary Duties:
- Provide direct instructional services for Deaf/Hard of Hearing students across multiple campuses
- Assist with Functional Listening Evaluations (FLEs) district-wide
- Support and conduct Usher screenings
- Collect, interpret, and upload audiological evaluations to PEER
- Coordinate with general education staff and families to foster student success
