Teacher of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing in Seymour, WI
This position offers an exciting opportunity to work as an educator specializing in Deaf and Hard of Hearing (DHH) students within an elementary school setting. Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver specialized instruction and support to elementary students who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing.
- Collaborate with classroom teachers and staff to implement effective communication strategies.
- Utilize American Sign Language to facilitate student understanding and engagement.
- Assess students’ educational needs and adapt teaching methods accordingly.
- Maintain accurate records of student progress and participate in team meetings.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Minimum of two years of post-secondary education equivalent to at least 48 semester hours from an accredited institution, or an associate degree or higher.
- Alternatively, demonstrated expertise through a formal state or local academic assessment in reading, writing, and mathematics instruction.
- Hold a valid Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction Educational Interpreter License.
- Previous experience working with elementary-aged students who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing is highly valued.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.

- Onsite position based in Seymour, WI.
Hours:
- Full-time, 37.5 hours per week, contract through May 29, 2026.
