Make a remarkable impact this summer assisting K-12 students as a Teacher of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing. This onsite, contract opportunity runs from June through July 2026, providing vital educational support to students across grade levels during the summer session. With a part-time schedule of 17 hours per week, you’ll have the flexibility to focus on individualized instruction while enjoying the meaningful rewards of your work.

Key Qualifications:

  • Active Teacher of the Deaf/Hard of Hearing (TDHH) license
  • Valid Kansas teaching certification
  • Previous experience working with deaf or hard of hearing students in a K-12 setting is a plus
  • Strong communication and organization skills
  • A passion for fostering an inclusive learning environment where every student can thrive

Position Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging, accessible instruction tailored to the unique needs of deaf and hard of hearing students
  • Develop and implement individualized education plans
  • Collaborate with general education teachers, support staff, and families to ensure consistent, high-quality support
  • Track and document student progress, adapting instructional approaches as needed
  • Provide resources and advocacy to help students develop communication, academic, and social skills
