Deaf and Hard of Hearing Teacher - Vero Beach, FL
A full-time, itinerant opportunity is available for a Teacher of the Deaf/Hard of Hearing for the 2025/2026 school year in Vero Beach, FL. This role supports another Deaf/Hard of Hearing (DHH) teacher's caseload and requires on-site presence with immediate availability.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide specialized instruction and support to students who are deaf or hard of hearing
- Collaborate with the existing DHH teacher to manage and support student needs
- Develop and implement individualized education strategies tailored to students’ hearing challenges
- Communicate effectively with students, families, and educational staff to foster a supportive learning environment
- Maintain accurate records and progress reports in accordance with educational standards
Qualifications and Experience:
- Certification or licensure as a Teacher of the Deaf/Hard of Hearing
- Experience working with students who have hearing impairments in an educational setting
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to work independently in an itinerant role while supporting a team
- Immediate availability for an on-site position
