Virtual Teacher of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing - MT
Providing specialized educational support for students who are deaf or hard of hearing through telehealth services, this role requires a skilled Teacher of the Deaf/Hard of Hearing to implement effective instructional strategies in a remote setting. The position is contract-based and located in Billings, MT.
Responsibilities include:
- Delivering individualized telehealth instruction and support to students with hearing impairments
- Developing and adapting educational materials to meet student needs
- Collaborating with families, educators, and related service providers to enhance learning outcomes
- Monitoring student progress and providing ongoing assessment and feedback
- Utilizing assistive technology and communication devices effectively within telehealth sessions
Qualifications and Experience:
- Certification or licensure as a Teacher of the Deaf/Hard of Hearing
- Experience providing educational services to students who are deaf or hard of hearing
- Proficiency in telehealth platforms and remote instructional technologies
- Strong communication skills tailored to the needs of hearing-impaired students
- Ability to work independently within a virtual environment
- Familiarity with audiological and speech-language resources preferred
