Remote Teacher of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing | Vermont
A contract opportunity is available for a Teacher specialized in supporting Deaf and Hard of Hearing students through telehealth services. This role involves providing specialized instruction and support remotely to enhance students' communication skills and academic progress.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver remote instructional services tailored to the needs of students who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing
- Conduct assessments and develop individualized education plans (IEPs) in collaboration with educational teams
- Utilize telehealth technologies effectively to facilitate learning and communication
- Provide ongoing support and training to families and school staff regarding assistive technologies and communication strategies
- Monitor student progress and adjust instructional approaches as necessary
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of services and student outcomes
Desired Qualifications and Experience:
- Certification or licensure as a Teacher of the Deaf/Hard of Hearing
- Experience working with Deaf and Hard of Hearing students in educational settings
- Proficiency with telehealth platforms and remote instructional methods
