A contract opportunity is available for a Teacher specializing in Deaf and Hard of Hearing students, with experience in telehealth services. This role serves school-aged children through virtual platforms, providing specialized instruction and support tailored to their unique communication needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver individualized and group instruction to students who are deaf or hard of hearing using telehealth methods.
- Develop and implement specialized educational plans that address students’ hearing and language needs.
- Collaborate with families, audiologists, and related service providers to support student progress.
- Monitor and assess students’ academic and communication development, adjusting strategies as needed.
- Utilize telepractice technologies effectively to create engaging and accessible learning environments.
Desired Qualifications:
- Certification or licensure as a Teacher of the Deaf or Hard of Hearing.
- Experience delivering instruction via telehealth platforms.
- Strong knowledge of auditory-verbal strategies, sign language, and other communication methods.
- Ability to create adaptive and accessible educational materials.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
