A contract opportunity is available for a Teacher of the Deaf/Hard of Hearing specializing in telehealth services. This role supports students requiring specialized instruction and assistance through remote platforms, ensuring accessibility and effective communication in an educational setting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver tailored instruction and support to students with hearing impairments via telehealth methods.
- Collaborate remotely with educational staff, families, and service providers to develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).
- Utilize specialized technology and communication tools to enhance learning and communication outcomes.
- Monitor student progress and adjust teaching strategies to meet individual needs.
- Provide consultation and resources to school personnel regarding accommodations and modifications for students with hearing loss.
Desired Qualifications:
- Certification or licensure as a Teacher of the Deaf/Hard of Hearing.
- Experience delivering instruction through telehealth or other remote platforms.
- Strong knowledge of auditory and speech development, hearing assistive technology, and communication strategies.
- Ability to engage effectively with students, families, and educational teams in a virtual environment.
- Excellent organizational and communication skills.
