Virtual Deaf and Hard of Hearing Teacher in WI

A contract opportunity is available for a Teacher specializing in Deaf and Hard of Hearing education utilizing telehealth technology. This position supports students remotely, delivering specialized instruction and services tailored to individuals with hearing impairments.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide direct instruction and support to students who are deaf or hard of hearing via telehealth platforms.
• Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) focused on auditory, speech, language, and communication goals.
• Collaborate with families, educators, and related service providers to monitor student progress and adjust instruction as needed.
• Assist in the assessment of hearing abilities and recommend appropriate accommodations or assistive technologies.
• Maintain accurate records and comply with regulations regarding special education services delivered remotely.
• Participate in professional development to stay current in deaf education and telehealth best practices.

Desired Qualifications:

• Certification or licensure as a Teacher of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing.
• Experience delivering instruction through telehealth or distance learning platforms.
• Knowledge of audiological, speech, and language development for students with hearing loss.
