Online Teacher of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing - Washington

A position is available for a Teacher of the Deaf / Hard of Hearing specializing in telehealth services, located in Renton, WA. This contract role focuses on providing specialized instruction and support to students with hearing impairments through virtual platforms.

Responsibilities include:

• Delivering telehealth educational services tailored to students who are deaf or hard of hearing
• Developing and implementing individualized lesson plans to meet the unique learning needs of each student
• Collaborating with families, educators, and related service providers to support student progress and communication skills
• Utilizing assistive technology effectively to enhance learning experiences
• Monitoring and documenting student achievements and challenges in compliance with educational standards and policies

Qualifications and experience sought:

• Valid certification or licensure as a Teacher of the Deaf / Hard of Hearing
• Proven experience delivering instruction in a telehealth or virtual environment
• Strong understanding of audiology, speech and language development, and hearing assistive technology
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to engage students remotely
• Familiarity with individualized education programs (IEPs) and specialized curriculum development
