A contract opportunity is available for a qualified Teacher of the Deaf/Hard of Hearing experienced in telehealth services. This role supports students through virtual instruction and specialized educational strategies tailored to their hearing needs.
Location: Sanford, FL
Responsibilities include:
- Providing telehealth instruction and support to students with hearing impairments
- Developing and implementing individualized education plans (IEPs) in collaboration with families and other educators
- Monitoring student progress and adjusting strategies to meet evolving needs
- Utilizing technology effectively to deliver remote services
- Collaborating with audiologists, speech therapists, and other specialists to optimize student outcomes
- Maintaining accurate records and documentation in accordance with educational guidelines
Qualifications and desired experience:
- Certification or licensure as a Teacher of the Deaf/Hard of Hearing
- Demonstrated expertise delivering services via telehealth platforms
- Strong understanding of educational strategies and accommodations for students with hearing loss
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for working with students, families, and professionals
- Experience in developing and managing IEPs
- Ability to adapt instruction to a virtual environment using appropriate technology
