Qualifications/Desired Experience:

  • Valid teaching certification in Deaf/Hard of Hearing or related endorsement
  • Experience working with students who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing in school settings
  • Proficiency in American Sign Language (ASL) is highly desirable
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills with students, families, and multidisciplinary teams
  • Familiarity with remote instruction platforms and digital tools to support virtual learning

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and deliver engaging, individualized instruction for students with hearing differences using virtual platforms
  • Collaborate with regular and special education staff to adapt curriculum and learning materials
  • Develop and implement IEP goals, track progress, and ensure compliance with educational requirements
  • Support the use of assistive technologies and accommodations for optimal access
  • Communicate regularly with parents and caregivers, offering strategies to support learning at home
  • Participate in virtual meetings and ongoing professional development to stay current with best practices
