Deaf and Hard of Hearing Teacher - Kingston, PA

What you’ll bring:
- Certification or eligibility as a Teacher of the Deaf/Hard of Hearing
- Direct teaching experience with Deaf/Hard of Hearing students, preferably across K-12 grade levels
- Strong understanding of sign language modalities and various communication methods
- Ability to develop and adapt individualized education plans (IEPs) to meet diverse student needs
- Excellent collaboration skills for working with students, educators, and families
- Commitment to fostering an inclusive, supportive classroom environment
Your responsibilities:
- Deliver tailored instruction to K-12 students in the Deaf/Hard of Hearing program
- Adapt curriculum materials to fit each student’s unique communication styles and needs
- Monitor and document student progress toward IEP goals
- Provide guidance in assistive technology or amplification devices where appropriate
- Work closely with school staff, speech and language specialists, and parents to maximize student success
- Support social and emotional development within an inclusive academic framework
