Qualifications:
- Master's Degree in Education for Teaching Deaf Students
- Active State of Illinois issued Certification in Deaf Education
- Two years experience required
- Virtual experience preferred
Additional Requirements for Virtual Roles:
- Comfortable being an independent contractor (1099)
- Passed basic tech screening
- Must provide your own liability insurance and be comfortable being an independent contractor
- Must have home computer with high internet speed
Position Details:
- Develop Annual Goals for the IEP
- Complete reevaluation reports on Communication Assessment
- Assess students' progress regularly and adjust instructional strategies as needed to meet their evolving needs.
- Provide consultation and training to parents and other stakeholders on how to support students who are deaf or hard of hearing at home and in the community.
- Collaborate with classroom teachers and other school staff to ensure that instructional materials and environments are accessible to students who are deaf or hard of hearing.
