Are you a passionate and dedicated educator with expertise in teaching students who are deaf or hard of hearing? Soliant is currently seeking a qualified Teacher for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing to join our team in the Scottsdale, AZ area for the 2024-25 school year. What You'll Do:
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for students who are deaf or hard of hearing, addressing their unique communication and learning needs.
- Provide direct instruction in language development, literacy, and academic subjects using a variety of specialized instructional strategies and techniques.
- Collaborate with classroom teachers, speech-language pathologists, and other support staff to ensure the successful inclusion and participation of students in general education settings.
- Conduct assessments of students' language and communication skills, monitor progress, and adjust instructional plans accordingly.
- Provide support and guidance to students, families, and school staff on strategies for promoting communication and academic success.
What We're Looking For:
- Master's degree in Education for Teaching Deaf Students or related field.
- Valid Arizona teaching license with endorsement in Education for Teaching Deaf Students.
- Valid Arizona fingerprint card required
- Fluency in American Sign Language (ASL) preferred.
- Experience working with students who are deaf or hard of hearing in a school setting preferred
