Qualifications & Certifications:
- Possess an active California Occupational Therapist (OT) license
- Background or experience as a Teacher for the Deaf/Hard of Hearing, or as a Deaf/Hard of Hearing Specialist
- Competence in delivering teletherapy or remote support services (preferred)
- Strong communication skills and ability to partner with families and multidisciplinary teams
- Commitment to evidence-based practices for supporting students who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide individualized and group virtual support to K-12 students, ensuring access to core curriculum and specialized interventions
- Conduct assessments and evaluations to determine students’ unique needs and service plans
- Collaborate with educators, support staff, and families to design and deliver appropriate accommodations and strategies
- Document services and progress according to established guidelines and timelines
- Participate in online meetings and contribute expertise during IEPs and other planning sessions
