Qualifications & Experience Sought:
- Valid and active California Occupational Therapy (OT) license
- Experience as a Teacher or Specialist for Deaf/Hard of Hearing populations in a school setting
- Comfortable delivering services remotely using secure technology
- Demonstrated understanding of K-12 educational environments
- Collaborative approach to working with families, teams, and school personnel
- Strong organizational and communication skills
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver targeted occupational therapy services to Deaf/Hard of Hearing students via teletherapy
- Conduct virtual assessments, develop Individualized Education Plans (IEPs), and monitor progress
- Collaborate with school staff, families, and students to create accessible learning opportunities
- Provide support, resources, and consultation to educational teams to advance inclusive practices
- Adapt therapy techniques to meet individual student needs and promote student independence
- Document services and maintain accurate records in compliance with school and state requirements
