As a traveling Deaf/Hard of Hearing Specialist and Teacher, you’ll enrich your resume with exposure to various educational settings across 15 school sites, serving students from transitional kindergarten through age 22. This is a full-time, 35-hour-a-week assignment running from August 7th to June 4th, working with a caseload of 20 to 28 students. The compensation for this role ranges from $35 to $45 per hour, reflecting your valuable expertise in the field.
Qualifications/Desired Experience:
- Credentials as a Teacher of the Deaf/Hard of Hearing
- Experience supporting students with hearing differences (TK–22)
- Ability to adapt to multiple school sites and varying caseloads
- Strong interpersonal communication and collaboration skills
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver specialized instruction and support services to students with hearing impairments
- Develop and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Consult with school teams and families to maximize student success
- Provide training and resources to staff and peers as needed
- Document progress and comply with all state and federal regulations
