Qualifications and Experience:
- Background supporting students who are Deaf/Hard of Hearing or visually impaired
- Experience with Braille transcription and materials, or as a Braillist
- Knowledge of assistive technologies and accessibility tools
- Strong communication skills and collaborative spirit
- Ability to adapt to varying student needs within an educational setting
- Commitment to fostering independence and inclusion
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct support and adaptations for students with hearing or vision needs
- Utilize specialized technology and strategies to maximize student access to curriculum
- Collaborate with teachers and staff to create accessible learning environments
- Develop, transcribe, and deliver instructional materials in appropriate accessible formats
- Offer guidance and advocacy to ensure educational equity for all students
