Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Experience working as a Deaf / Hard of Hearing Specialist and/or Braillist in educational settings
- Proficiency in American Sign Language (ASL) and/or tactile communication modes
- Ability to transcribe and produce braille materials according to student needs
- Understanding of accommodations, assistive technologies, and instructional strategies for students with sensory impairments
- Collaborative spirit to partner with educators, related service providers, and families
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct support and specialized instruction to students who are Deaf, Hard of Hearing, and/or visually impaired
- Translate instructional materials into accessible formats, including braille
- Consult with classroom teachers to adapt curricula and ensure accessibility
- Monitor student progress and make data-driven recommendations for supports
- Facilitate communication between students, staff, and families as appropriate
- Maintain accurate records of services and adaptations provided
