We're seeking experienced Teachers of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing (DHH) for remote California school districts.
Daily Responsibilities
Teach Deaf and Hard of Hearing students through virtual instruction.
Customize lesson plans and curriculum accommodations.
Foster language acquisition, communication, and academic growth.
Perform educational assessments and track student outcomes.
Create and maintain compliant IEPs.
Collaborate with school teams, families, and related service providers.
Participate in virtual staff meetings and IEP conferences.
Maintain documentation and progress reports.
Utilize teletherapy platforms and assistive technology.
Provide consultation to families and educators supporting Deaf and Hard of Hearing learners.
Qualifications
Bachelor's or Master's degree.
Active California Deaf and Hard of Hearing credential.
Experience with K-12 special education.
Strong understanding of IEP development and implementation.
Teletherapy experience preferred.
ASL proficiency is highly desired.
Strong communication and teamwork skills.
